program. All OVKA drivers will have an opportunity to sign up for on

3/8/06 = -------ALERT-------
Each Driver should be aware of what is required of them upon arriving
at the track. The Tech Director has made it easy for us by posting a
checklist for you to refer to. It can be found in the "Tech Corner"
portion of the Exhaust Newsletter or in the 2006 Rule Book.
Note: that there is a new requirement for all drivers, Sportsman
age and under (5-12 yr olds) to have an approved chest protector
(see the Rule Book, Tech Corner or this link the WKA page).
Also as a reminder that Saturday April 1st 9am-1pm is the OVKA
cleanup day at G&J Kartway. All members are asked to participate
(a "P" is award to each for year end points). Lunch will be provided.
The following Saturday April 8th 12pm-6pm will be the annual Driving
School at G&J Kartway. All NEW drivers are encouraged to participate,
as well as any veteran driver that needs a refresher. And the next day
Sunday April 9th is Karting 101 (orientation). Come out and get setup
for Raceday #1 which will be Sunday April 23rd. We look forward in
seeing everyone out and good luck in 2006!
2/21/06 = If you have any item (karting related only) that you would like to Buy
Sell or Trade forward the information, the way you would like to see it in
the add to dstempfley@belcan.com. It will then be posted, upon
approval in the Classifieds page here on the site. Please include contact
information such as Name, Phone Number and/or Email Address in your
add. Also Photos can be loaded (limit 2 per add). Adds will circulate for 2
months, then removed unless informed otherwise. This is a free
service!

1/25/06 = Welcome the new OVKA President, Vice President and Officers for
2006.
President: Randy Vermillion
Vice President: Max Viney
Secretary: Lynda Whitaker
Treasure: Jason Gregg
Randy has been the 2005 OVKA Vice President, Tech Director,
Shows & Promotions Chair, a member of the Rules Committee and a
member of the Board of Directors. In addition to these potions he has
a grandchild racing. Please welcome Randy to this position at the
next OVKA event.
Max Has been a member of the OVKA Board of Directors, a member of
the Rules Committee, Co-Chair of the Future Planning Committee and
heads the building redesign research. He also was one of the drivers
in the 2005 Yamaha Lite class. Welcome Max to this position at the
next OVKA event.
1/7/06 = WKA George Kugler Manufacturer's Cup Series event held at Daytona
International Speedway. OVKA had 25 of it's own compete during
Dec 26-30. There were 3 drivers from OVKA crowned as class
champions and 11 podieums (top 5's). There were over 625 entries
in the event, which is a WKA high. For results see the following My
